Global YO leads for Salou on 23 of 25 Spain reports and an 8.0 test score, with a 10 for price. Hotspot use is allowed, and the app installs and activates the eSIM itself.

Holafly's Spain page names Orange, Movistar, Vodafone and Yoigo (checked August 2026), three physical networks, which helps when a theme park fills the local cells. It worked for 60 of 67 Spain travelers and for 5 of 7 in Barcelona.

For families, the hotspot cap matters: 1 GB a day, pooled over the plan. Our test measured about 30 Mbps and scored it 6.2, with 4 for price, and 7 days cost $23.90 as of August 2026. One Barcelona arrival could not get data at all, so install early. Holafly details are in our Holafly write-up.

Nomad has good reports on both sides of Salou: 4 of 5 in Barcelona and 2 of 2 in the Pyrenees, plus 71 of 84 across Spain. An Israeli traveler had good reception in Barcelona and most of the time in the mountains.

GoMoWorld did not slow down after 10 GB in a day in our test, measured outside Spain, which suits a family streaming in the car. It worked for 18 of 22 Spain travelers and scored 8.2.

Saily's Spain page allows unlimited hotspot use, the most generous rule here for a family sharing one plan. It scored 8.5 in our test, with 10 for support, the kind of help you want if a child's phone stops working mid-holiday.

Airalo worked for 21 of 51 Spain travelers and 1 of 3 in Barcelona. An Israeli user's unlimited Europe plan worked in Spain, then stopped at the French border and took hours of support to troubleshoot.

Jetpac, eSIM4Travel, Ubigi and Others Near Salou

Jetpac (6.7, 14 of 16 in Spain) gives lounge access if your flight is delayed and keeps Maps free on 3 GB+ plans. One reviewer, though, lost data on driving from Spain into France. eSIM4Travel scored 8.8 but its only Spain report is a Barcelona failure. ByteSIM (5.3) is outside our Spain report data.

Providers we have yet to test get no rank. Ubigi failed both Tarragona-province reports and runs only on MasOrange, though it worked for 42 of 46 across Spain. Tarragona province has 2 reports, both Ubigi failures, one filed under Tarragona and one under Montblanc. In Montblanc, a French visitor found the 5G network so slow he could barely play videos. Two reports are too few to judge Ubigi, but they show why a single-network eSIM is a gamble here.

Barcelona and the Pyrenees: Reports on the Way In and Out

Barcelona's 27 reports favor Nomad (4 of 5), Yesim (3 of 3) and Holafly (5 of 7). In the Pyrenees, Nomad worked for 2 of 2 and Holafly and Simify for 1 of 1 each.

Mobile Networks on the Costa Daurada

Spain's four network owners are Movistar, MasOrange, Vodafone España and Digi, with Orange and Yoigo sharing the MasOrange network. Opensignal's May 2026 report put Movistar first for downloads at 96.7 Mbps, and Digi won both 5G speed awards on a small network of its own.

Ubigi's two failures near Salou are a useful lesson, because its Spain plans list Orange and Yoigo, which are one network. When that network is busy or thin, there is no fallback. Holafly is the only provider here that names Movistar, Orange and Vodafone.
