The best eSIM for Slovenia depends on three things: how far into the mountains you go, whether you cross into Croatia, Austria or Italy, and how much help you want if something fails. Slovenia is small, but most of it lies above 300 m and more than half is forest, so coverage varies more than the size suggests.
Valley floors around Soča and Bohinj are covered, while ridgelines and side valleys are patchier and caves have no signal, according to third-party coverage reports in our research. Summer traffic also slows data on the coast around Koper, Izola and Portorož. 3G is gone: A1 switched it off on 30 June 2023 [5] and Telekom has discontinued it, so your phone needs 4G. 2G remains.
Our evidence is thin. We found 27 traveler reports from Slovenia, and only three providers have three or more, so every pick below is limited evidence and we say so. Local SIMs add a rule to know: Telekom and Telemach prepaid bundles need a registration that proves ties to Slovenia before they work in other EU countries. That is the main reason many visitors choose a travel eSIM.

How we got these numbers: we read 27 public customer reviews that mention Slovenia or a place in it, published between June 2024 and August 2026, and counted a report as "worked" when the reviewer said the eSIM connected, even with small hiccups. We treat 20 or more reports as strong evidence, 3 to 19 as limited, and fewer than 3 as too few to judge. A count like 9 of 9 means the eSIM worked well for 9 of the 9 travelers who reported from here; each provider section says what went wrong for the rest. The Vefru test score is a separate number: our own hands-on test of the provider, run outside Slovenia, so it says how the provider behaves, not how the network performs here. Local operator prices in the text were checked on 26 September 2026; provider ratings, the plan tables and the price-per-GB chart are live and update on their own.

We ranked providers by traveler reports from Slovenia first, price second and our own test findings third. Only three providers reached three reports, so eSIM4Travel joins them for its price and help desk, and its place rests on our tests rather than on Slovenia reports.

Nomad eSIM in our hands
Based on the Slovenia reports and our tests, Nomad is the best option for most trips. It worked well for 9 of 9 travelers who reported from Slovenia (100%, limited evidence). The reports cover city breaks and road trips that also reached Croatia, Austria, Italy and Hungary, plus one from Ljubljana, and travelers describe easy installation and steady service. A family of four who used it in Croatia and Slovenia wrote that it "was easy and worked very well" (19 Jun 2026).
No miss is counted, but two caveats are worth knowing. One traveler had trouble texting and using navigation in the Balkans, mostly in Montenegro, and named Slovenia among six countries without those problems (29 May 2026). Another thought a top-up was going through, but it was treated as a new purchase that needed separate activation (21 Jun 2026). Both are app-flow and neighbouring-country issues, not dead zones in Slovenia.
Nomad sells Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 50 GB with validity from 3 to 30 days, unlimited plans for 3 to 10 days that slow after 2 GB a day, and Balkans, Europe and global plans for border crossings. Its page named Telemach and Telekom when we checked on 30 August 2026, while our comparison tool lists Telemach for nearly all Slovenia plans and Si.mobil (A1) for one, so the network can differ by plan. Its price sits a little below the market average overall, though it is dearer in Europe than elsewhere. The main drawback is the help desk: in our test the chat bot looped and offered no route to a human, even though one reviewer praised the help desk (14 Aug 2026). Our hands-on Nomad review has the full test. Plans are sold on Nomad's site.

Airalo eSIM in our hands
Airalo is the pick for first-time users: it worked well for 3 of 3 travelers who reported from Slovenia (100%, limited evidence). Reviewers used it in Slovenia on trips that also took in Germany, Italy, Turkey, Greece and Austria, and they describe easy installation and good connections. One wrote "Good connections in Italy, Slovenia, Turkey and Greece" (1 Jul 2026). A travel advisor who recommends it to clients tells them to buy before arrival and activate on airport Wi-Fi (27 Jun 2026).
There is no Slovenia miss. One reviewer rated Slovenia excellent but found less coverage in Croatia, which matters on a border-crossing trip (31 Jul 2026). Across all countries, Airalo has the weakest record of the 14 providers in our traveler-report data, with misses in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Mexico. Three good reports from Slovenia are encouraging but do not cancel that pattern.
Airalo sells Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 50 GB with validity from 3 to 30 days, unlimited plans for 3 to 30 days that slow after 3 GB a day (tethering counts toward it), and Europe and global plans. Its Discover+ global plans carry a voice and SMS flag in our comparison tool. Airalo's page lists T-2 as its Slovenia network, and the research reports that T-2 relies on A1's radio network outside its own footprint, so Airalo is not on the network that did best in tests. Its price sits at the market average: never the cheapest, never among the dearest. In our test, purchase and installation were among the easiest we saw, the app was polished and the help desk answered after a queue. Our hands-on Airalo review has the details. Plans are sold on Airalo's Slovenia page.

Maya Mobile eSIM in our hands
Maya Mobile fits road trips across several borders, where one unlimited plan replaces a separate eSIM for each country. It worked well for 7 of 8 travelers who reported from Slovenia (88%, limited evidence). The successes are multi-country trips: Croatia, Austria, Germany and France on one plan, and Budapest, Vienna and Slovenia on another. One reviewer said it "worked flawlessly for me in Spain, Croatia and Slovenia, even in rural areas" (14 Sep 2024), and tethering to a partner's phone worked too.
The one miss was a traveler in Slovenia who paid for the virtual SIM and said it did not work, with no further detail (26 Oct 2025). The softer caveats: one reviewer found coverage weaker in a few areas than on other providers (13 Jan 2026), one said speeds could be better (19 Aug 2024), and one had to choose the network by hand after each border. Recent change: reviews from 2024 and 2025 mention a Europe plan, but our comparison tool and our September to October 2026 test show only global unlimited plans, for 3, 7, 14 and 30 days.
Maya does not name its Slovenia network. Its fair-use rule, 5 GB a day at full speed before slowing, is the most generous among the unlimited plans we compared, and its global unlimited plan is the cheapest of its kind by a wide margin. It sells nothing small and nothing under 3 days, so it is poor value for a short stay that stays inside Slovenia. In our test the install needed the APN set by hand (globaldata) and roaming switched on, and the WhatsApp help desk went through a bot and a form before a human replied. Our hands-on Maya Mobile review has the details. Plans are sold on Maya's site.

eSIM4Travel eSIM in our hands
eSIM4Travel is the cheapest provider overall in our price analysis, and its Slovenia plans list all three national networks, so it suits budget travelers who want a human help desk. There are no traveler reports from Slovenia yet, so we cannot say how it worked there, and its place in this group rests on our tests and its price. In our test, bought on the website, the QR code arrived by email and the eSIM worked right away.
With no reports, there are no misses to describe. The known drawbacks come from our test: there is no app, no Google Pay (the card is typed in by hand), and once the data runs out you cannot reach the website to top up without Wi-Fi. The plan starts on first connection, works on one device and has a 90-day activation window, according to the provider.
eSIM4Travel sells Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 50 GB with validity from 1 to 30 days, plus unlimited plans for 3 to 30 days that slow after 3 GB a day. Its own page lists Telekom, A1 and Telemach, which makes it one of two providers, with Holafly, whose pages list all three. Telekom is the network that did best in Opensignal's reports. The price edge fades at 50 GB. The help desk was the best we tried: one click from the bot to a human who solved the problem. Refunds are possible within 2 months if less than 10% was used. Our hands-on eSIM4Travel review has the details. Plans are sold on eSIM4Travel's Slovenia page.

Jetpac eSIM in our hands
Two positive reports are too few to judge Jetpac in Slovenia. Both come from 2024 road trips through Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovenia, where travelers praised easy setup, a dependable connection and the hotspot. One wrote "Super easy to setup and dependable connection throughout my road trip" (25 Sep 2024). Neither report is a miss, and both are older than our October 2026 test.
Jetpac sells Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 40 GB with validity from 1 to 30 days, and unlimited plans for 1 to 30 days that slow after 3 GB a day. Free WhatsApp, Maps and Uber keep working after the data runs out on packs of 3 GB or more, and in-app voice packs add calls. The network is unsettled: its page names none, third parties report Mobitel and Tušmobil, and our comparison tool lists Mobitel and Si.mobil, so we leave it open. Mid-sized plans are usually dearer than the market, and the app and checkout felt rough in our test. It could still suit frequent flyers who want calls and a hotspot. Our hands-on Jetpac review has the details, and plans are sold on Jetpac's site.

Ubigi eSIM in our hands
One positive report is too few to judge Ubigi in Slovenia. A US traveler used it on a trip through Japan, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria and wrote that it "worked beautifully" in all of them, including rural areas where local operators struggle (25 Jul 2026). She also found that adding a new country took two taps in the app. There is no miss to report.
Ubigi sells Slovenia plans of 3 GB (15 days) and 10 GB (7 or 30 days), with unlimited only on its Europe and world plans. Its page named A1 as the network when we checked on 30 August 2026. It is one of only two providers, with GigSky, where we could still buy more data at zero balance without Wi-Fi. The weak spots are the clunky site and app and a help desk that left our email ticket unanswered after 24 hours, the worst outcome we saw. Fixed-data prices are near the market and its unlimited plans are among the cheapest, which suits tech-savvy travelers on a multi-country trip. Our hands-on Ubigi review has the details, and plans are sold on Ubigi's site.

Roamless eSIM in our hands
One positive report is too few to judge Roamless in Slovenia. A Canadian couple used it for five weeks across Italy, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia in spring 2025 and said it worked everywhere on the trip; their travel partners, who had bought local SIMs, switched to it afterwards (21 Oct 2025). There is no miss to report.
Roamless sells a pay-as-you-go credit that works in Slovenia and a few 30-day fixed plans, from a small free trial up to large credit packs, with no unlimited plan and no throttling claimed. Our comparison tool lists Telemach for its Slovenia plans, but we could not confirm a Slovenia page or network from Roamless itself, so the link goes to its homepage. In our test the preselected APN did not work and had to be changed by hand, Google Pay failed at checkout, and the eSIM could only be bought in the app. It also lets you top up with a trickle of data left, and it offers in-app calls and an optional second number. Prices are at the market average: cheap for small needs, dear above 10 GB. Our hands-on Roamless review has the details, and it is sold on Roamless's site.

Yesim eSIM in our hands
One report counts as worked, which is too few to judge Yesim in Slovenia. The review text is not in our review file, so we cannot say where in the country it was used or how. There is no miss to report.
Yesim sells Slovenia plans from 0.5 GB to 30 GB, and unlimited plans for 1, 7, 15 and 30 days that are slowed by the partner network at a limit it does not publish. Its page did not name a network when we checked in September 2026, and it says hotspot use depends on the operator. The plan started at purchase in our test, so buying close to departure avoids losing days. The help desk replied slowly, between 15 and 60 minutes each time, and the app pushes upsells. Its fixed country plans are usually dearer than the market, while its unlimited plans sit at the market average. It could still suit experienced users who want flexible unlimited plans. Our hands-on Yesim review has the details, and plans are sold on Yesim's Slovenia page.

Holafly eSIM in our hands
One positive report is too few to judge Holafly in Slovenia, and in our test its speed was capped from the start. In practice that is enough for maps, messaging, browsing and streaming, and slow for large downloads, uploads, cloud backups and laptop work. The one traveler, a US visitor on a two-week trip, drove through the mountains and all around Slovenia and had "service almost the entirety of the trip" (24 Aug 2026). The reviewer found the price steep but the eSIM easy and dependable. There is no miss to report.
Holafly sells unlimited trip plans priced by the day. Our comparison tool had no Holafly plan for Slovenia at export, so there is no plan table here, but its own Slovenia page lists plans, according to the research we did on 30 August 2026. That page names A1, Telekom and Telemach. Hotspot use is limited to 1 GB a day, and there are no top-ups: you buy a new eSIM when a plan ends. Its price is above other unlimited providers. It could still suit travelers who do not want to think about data. Our hands-on Holafly review has the details, and plans are sold on Holafly's Slovenia page.

Saily eSIM in our hands
Saily's only report from Slovenia is a miss, which is too few to judge it. It worked well for 0 of 1 travelers: a UK visitor in July 2026 wrote that they could not get online or make phone calls (19 Jul 2026). The review mixes two complaints. Saily is data only, so calls were never part of the product, and the review does not say whether data roaming was on or what failed with the data.
Saily sells Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 20 GB with validity of 7, 15 or 30 days, plus an unlimited plan for 15 days that slows after 5 GB a day, and Europe and global plans. Its page did not name a network when we checked in September 2026. In our test it had the best app, installation and help desk of the group, but it is among the dearest providers in most big European markets. It suits first-timers who value an easy start over price. Our hands-on Saily review has the details, and plans are sold on Saily's Slovenia page.

Global YO is a US eSIM provider aimed at young travelers, with plans in 195 countries. It is the second cheapest provider in our price data, and buying and installing took minutes. Its weak spot is support: quick to answer, slow to help.

Global YO eSIM in our hands
Global YO is the second cheapest provider overall in our price analysis, but there are no traveler reports from Slovenia yet, so it sits here. Its price edge grows with package size, which suits travelers who need larger packs and install at home.
Global YO sells Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 100 GB with validity from 3 to 60 days, plus daily-allowance plans. The allowance is 3 GB a day in our comparison tool and 1 GB a day on the page we checked on 26 September 2026, so check the plan page before buying. Its page lists SI.mobil and Tušmobil, which are today's A1 and Telemach, and says plans are 4G only. In our test the eSIM could only be bought in the app and had to be set up with the APN globaldata. The help desk was slow, with a template reply first, and the app cannot reach its store at zero data. Its outgoing in-app calls are an extra. Our hands-on Global YO review has the details, and plans are sold on Global YO's Slovenia page.

GoMoWorld is the travel eSIM brand of Irish operator eir, with plans in 202 countries. Every destination has the same four euro prices, and we saw no throttling at all. The catch is that everything happens in the app, and human support works only in office hours.

GoMoWorld eSIM in our hands
GoMoWorld, the travel brand of Irish operator eir, has no traveler reports from Slovenia yet, but it was the fastest and unthrottled provider in our test. That suits heavy data users, for whom its flat price tiers usually come out below the market.
GoMoWorld sells four Slovenia plans: 4 GB for 7 days and 20, 50 and 75 GB for 30 days. There is no unlimited plan, nothing under 4 GB and no voice. Its page does not name a network. A free 1 GB, 1-day trial is listed, and plans do not expire until you start them. The catch is the app-only flow: the eSIM is never emailed, one account works on one device, and nothing happens until you press Start in the app. That is a common cause of "not working". Human help is available only in office hours. It is a poor fit for 1 GB trips or for gifting an eSIM. Our hands-on GoMoWorld review has the details, and plans are sold on GoMoWorld's site.

ByteSIM eSIM in our hands
ByteSIM has no traveler reports from Slovenia yet and the weakest Vefru test score of the 14 providers, mainly for its checkout, app and help desk. It has the largest Slovenia catalogue and its page names two of the three national networks.
ByteSIM sells Slovenia plans from 0.5 GB to 300 GB with validity from 1 to 30 days, in daily, total and unlimited variants. Its page names Telekom and Telemach. Daily and total plans drop to a very low speed once the allowance is used, there are no top-ups, and the page lists no ID requirement and a 180-day refund. In our test checkout asked for a phone number and a full postal address, the app was a wrapped website with install errors, and nobody answered on WhatsApp within 15 minutes, although other customers report fast replies. Prices sit at the market average. Its record elsewhere is above average, strongest in East Asia, but that says nothing about Slovenia. Our hands-on ByteSIM review has the details, and plans are sold on ByteSIM's site.

GigSky eSIM in our hands
GigSky has no traveler reports from Slovenia, and we could not confirm that its Slovenia plans are on sale: the research found them marked temporarily unavailable in August 2026 and could not verify current availability. It stays here as a specialist for cruise calls (Koper is Slovenia's cruise port) and for 1-day passes.
Our comparison tool lists GigSky Slovenia plans from 1 GB to 50 GB, with the 20 GB and 50 GB plans valid for 90 and 180 days, and a 1-day unlimited pass. Its page did not name a network that we could confirm. In our test the app is the only one besides Ubigi's that lets you buy more data at zero balance without Wi-Fi, and the help desk answered at once. The eSIM must be bought in the app and starts on first connection. GigSky is the dearest provider overall, with prices at market in big European countries but far above it in about 50 others. Our hands-on GigSky review has the details. Plans, where available, are sold on GigSky's Slovenia page.

Providers travelers report from Slovenia that we have not tested
One review from April 2026 describes Simify working in the mountain regions of Slovenia and Croatia, with a continuous connection across both countries. Simify is not in our traveler-report analysis, so it carries no count, and we have not tested it.
Best eSIM Plans for Slovenia
Price per GB in Slovenia by eSIM Provider
How much does each provider charge per GB in Slovenia? The chart below compares plans of 1 to 10 GB that last 6 to 14 days, the usual range for a one- or two-week trip. Provider websites show only their own plans, so this side-by-side view is one you would otherwise have to calculate yourself. A shorter bar means a lower price per GB.

Slovenia plans in our comparison tool run from under 1 GB to 300 GB, and most providers sell an unlimited plan. Every unlimited plan we found slows after a daily allowance, from 2 GB a day at Nomad to 5 GB a day at Saily and Maya, so compare the allowance as well as the price. Our guide to how much data you need helps pick a tier. If your trip continues into Croatia, one comparison covers Slovenia and Croatia together, and our Croatia eSIM guide and Italy eSIM guide cover the other legs reviewers mention.
Best eSIM for Ljubljana, the Mountains and the Coast
The only place-level report is one Nomad report from Ljubljana, so no place has the three reports needed for its own pick, and the country pick applies everywhere.
| Where you are going | What the reports show | Our pick |
|---|---|---|
| Ljubljana | too few reports (Nomad 1/1) | Country pick applies |
| Soča and Bohinj valleys, Triglav | no reports yet | Country pick applies (a plan listing several networks gives more room to switch) |
| Coast (Koper, Izola, Portorož) | no reports yet | Country pick applies |
For the mountains, the reports are country-level. A US visitor on Holafly drove through the mountains and had service almost the whole trip, one Maya reviewer reported strong rural coverage in 2024, and another found it weaker in a few areas in 2025. On network information alone, with no traveler reports from these places, third-party coverage reports in our research say valley floors in the Soča and Bohinj areas are covered, ridgelines and side valleys unevenly. The same reports describe summer congestion on the coast and on motorways. Koper handles cruise calls, where a cruise-focused plan can matter more than a country plan.
Local SIM Cards and Operator eSIMs in Slovenia
A local SIM beats a travel eSIM on price per GB if you stay more than a few days, need a lot of data or a Slovenian number, and can visit a shop or petrol station. A travel eSIM wins if you need data the moment you land, cross borders or do not want to register. Prices below are VAT-inclusive and as of September 2026.
- Telekom Slovenije: the Mobi SIM or eSIM (through the Moj Mobi app) costs €2 and includes 7 days of unlimited calls to Telekom numbers and 1 GB. The monthly Mobi B plan costs €9.99 for unlimited calls and 100 GB, but only 14.89 GB of that works in other EU countries [3].
- A1 Slovenija: the Simpl SIM costs €1 until 31 December 2026 and comes with a Simpl mini preloaded for 3 days. Simpl maksi costs €6.99 on promotion from 10 June to 31 December 2026 (regular €8.99) for unlimited calls and 100 GB over 30 days, of which 13.4 GB works in the EU [4].
- Telemach: a NET2GO SIM costs €2 (regular €5), and a SIM with 100 GB preloaded costs €2.99 on promotion (regular €9.99), with 14.89 GB usable in the EU [7]. A FREE2GO SIM costs €2 and comes with €5 credit [6].
The A1 maksi or the Telemach 100 GB pack beat every travel eSIM we checked on price per GB. T-2 sells postpaid only, so it has no tourist SIM [2].
The trap is EU roaming. Telekom and Telemach require a registration that proves permanent ties with Slovenia before bundled units work in other EU and EEA countries, and surcharges apply otherwise [3] [8]. According to the Information Commissioner, as reported by Svet24 on 10 June 2026, Slovenian law requires no ID to buy a prepaid SIM. We could not confirm that with the Commissioner directly, so check at the shop.
Petrol stations and Pošta Slovenije post offices sell all three operators' SIMs [3] [4] [6]. Telemach also lists an info point at Ljubljana Airport, run by Fraport Slovenija [6]; we found no operator evidence of A1 or Telekom outlets there. A1 and Telemach prepaid SIMs are physical only [4] [6]. Telekom sells the Mobi eSIM in its app without a stated residency condition, but we did not test a checkout from outside Slovenia [3].
Mobile Networks in Slovenia
Slovenia has three radio networks and four brands: Telekom Slovenije, A1 and Telemach, plus T-2, which uses A1's radio network outside its own footprint, according to the research. According to Opensignal, Telekom had the fastest downloads of the four in its September 2025 report, and its September 2026 awards, as summarised by Telecompaper, gave Telekom the wins for overall download speed, coverage and 5G coverage, with A1 sharing 5G availability and Telemach sharing reliability. Telemach had the lowest download speed in the 2025 report.
Operator coverage claims are marketing-grade. A1 states that its 4G reaches 99.6% of the population and its 5G 85%, and that it switched off 3G on 30 June 2023 [5]. Telekom has also discontinued 3G, and 2G remains, so your phone needs 4G. The regulator AKOS publishes a coverage map [1].
Which provider rides which network:
- Names it on its page: eSIM4Travel (Telekom, A1, Telemach), ByteSIM (Telekom, Telemach), Global YO (A1, Telemach), Airalo (T-2). Checked on 30 August 2026 and not re-opened: Holafly (A1, Telekom, Telemach), Nomad (Telemach, Telekom) and Ubigi (A1).
- Reported or listed only: Jetpac is reported to use Mobitel and Tušmobil by third parties, while our comparison tool lists Mobitel and Si.mobil. Roamless is listed as Telemach in our comparison tool.
- Not named: Saily, Yesim and GoMoWorld did not name a network on their pages when we checked in September 2026. We could not confirm one for Maya or GigSky.
On this evidence, only eSIM4Travel, ByteSIM, Holafly and Nomad say their Slovenia plans reach Telekom, the network that did best in tests. For the mountains, a plan that lists several networks gives your phone fallback options, and our guide to eSIMs with several networks explains how to switch.
How to Set Up an eSIM for Slovenia
Install before you fly: nearly every plan waits for the first connection in Slovenia before it starts. The exceptions are Yesim, whose plan started at purchase in our test, GoMoWorld, which needs a manual Start, and some Airalo packages that start at install.
- Pick a plan size and length. Our first eSIM guide covers compatibility, and the tier tables above compare sizes.
- Buy at home and install on Wi-Fi. Activation windows differ: 90 days at eSIM4Travel, 180 at Saily and Yesim, 3 months at Jetpac, as stated by each provider.
- Add the eSIM on your phone: see the guides for iPhone and Samsung.
- On arrival, switch on the eSIM line and data roaming for it. Maya and Global YO also needed the APN globaldata set by hand in our tests.
- Turn Wi-Fi off and test. If there is no signal, pick the network by hand, as one Maya reviewer did after each border.
- If it still fails, work through our troubleshooting guide before contacting the help desk.
Calls and SMS in Slovenia
Slovenia's international calling code is +386, and nearly every travel eSIM is data only, so calls and messages go through WhatsApp, FaceTime or a similar app. In our comparison tool only Airalo's global Discover+ plans carry a voice and SMS flag. In our tests Jetpac sells in-app voice packs, Roamless has in-app calls and an optional second number, Global YO has outgoing in-app calls and Saily has a US number add-on. Holafly Plans, Saily Ultra and Yesim sell numbers that receive SMS.
Saily's only Slovenia report mentions failed phone calls, which a data-only eSIM does not provide. For a Slovenian number, a local SIM is the route: Telekom's Mobi eSIM includes calls to Telekom numbers for its first week [3], but the registration rule for using bundles abroad applies.
Free eSIM Data for Slovenia
Two free trials are usable in Slovenia. Roamless lists a free Slovenia eSIM and data in our comparison tool, with a 30-day trial that starts when you activate it. GoMoWorld lists a free 1 GB trial valid for 1 day on its Slovenia page, as of 26 September 2026. Both are enough to check that the eSIM installs and connects on your phone, not to cover a trip. Our guide to free eSIM data plans and trials lists more.

Summary: the best eSIM for Slovenia
Based on 27 traveler reports and our tests, the best option for most trips to Slovenia is Nomad: it worked well for 9 of 9 travelers, and its weakness is a help desk that gave us no route to a human. Airalo (3 of 3) suits first-time users and has a wide range of plan sizes, but it sells at market prices and has only three reports. Maya Mobile (7 of 8) fits trips across several borders on one unlimited plan; its one miss was a virtual SIM that did not work in Slovenia, and it has nothing for short, small needs. eSIM4Travel is the cheapest provider overall and lists all three Slovenian networks, but it has no Slovenia reports yet, no app and no top-up without Wi-Fi.
The best eSIM for Slovenia is the one that matches your route: a Slovenia or Balkans plan for a stay in Ljubljana, a Europe or global plan for a road trip, and a local SIM only for long stays where you can complete the registration. Everything here rests on a small review base, so we recommend checking the live plan tables before you travel.
