Best eSIM for Finland in 2026: 14 Providers Ranked by Traveler Reports

Best eSIM Finland
Key Takeaways

Key takeaways

Based on 30 traveler reports from Finland and our tests, the best option for most trips is Maya Mobile: it worked well for 5 of 5 travelers, mostly on multi-country Nordic trips, but it sells nothing shorter than 3 days. Nomad (4 of 4) suits experienced users who will not need a help desk. Holafly (3 of 3) connects to all three networks, but its speed was capped in our test. Airalo worked well for 2 of 4, with both misses in Helsinki. eSIM4Travel has no reports from Finland yet and no app, but it is the cheapest in our comparison.

The best eSIM for Finland depends mostly on where you are going. Towns, lakes and main roads are well covered: Traficom's figures show fast 4G reaching 96% of households but only 28% of the land area, and fast 5G reaching 93% of households and 19% of the land [1]. The gaps are in the northern and eastern wilderness, so a Lapland trip needs more thought than a weekend in Helsinki.

We read 30 traveler reports from Finland, and the evidence is thin: no provider has more than five. Maya Mobile, Nomad and Holafly had no misses. The misses cluster in Helsinki, where five of the eight reports were failures, and four of those five were a connection that did not work at all. Every count in this guide is limited evidence, and we say so each time.

Three practical facts matter for the choice. 3G is switched off [10], so your phone needs 4G, and 2G stays only as a fallback until the end of 2029 [4]. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has no operator store, and travel guides report only a convenience store in arrivals that sells SIMs, so installing an eSIM before you fly saves a queue. In the north, two of the three networks share the same masts [5], and the networks section explains why that matters when you pick a provider.

Best eSIM Providers for Finland

eSIM plans in Finland at a glance

How well each provider's eSIM works in Finland

The Vefru score is our overall rating of the provider. The percentage shows how many reviewers said their eSIM worked well in Finland. Since unhappy customers review more often, it is best used to compare providers with each other.

How we got these numbers: we read 30 public customer reviews that mention Finland or a place in it, published between July 2024 and August 2026, and counted a report as "worked" when the reviewer said the eSIM connected, even with small hiccups. We treat 20 or more reports as strong evidence, 3 to 19 as limited, and fewer than 3 as too few to judge. A count like 5 of 5 means the eSIM worked well for 5 of the 5 travelers who reported from here; each provider section says what went wrong for the rest. The Vefru test score is a separate number: our own hands-on test of the provider, run outside Finland, so it says how the provider behaves, not how the network performs here. Local operator prices in the text were checked on 30 August 2026 and the research behind them was last verified on 25 September 2026; provider ratings, the plan tables and the price-per-GB chart are live and update on their own.

Maya Mobile eSIM in our hands

Maya Mobile testing preview Maya Mobile testing speed 1 Maya Mobile testing speed 2 Maya Mobile testing support

Maya Mobile has the best record for Finland and suits trips of a week or more across several countries: it worked well for 5 of 5 travelers who reported from Finland (limited evidence). Four of the five reports come from multi-country Nordic trips, including the remote north. They cover remote Finland and Norway (December 2025), Iceland, Stockholm and Finland (September 2025), 26 days across Scandinavia with nine nights above the Arctic Circle (January 2025), and a Lapland holiday with a hotspot (July 2024).

Maya has no misses from Finland. The one caveat is Lapland, where the July 2024 reviewer wrote, "We didn't have coverage at all times, but we did most of the time." That fits the thin network in the north. In our test, run in Czechia, setup took two manual steps, entering the APN "globaldata" and switching roaming on, and help came through a WhatsApp bot, then a form, then a person.

Maya sells one product: a global unlimited plan that covers Finland, in 3-, 7-, 14- and 30-day versions, plus a cruise version. There is no Finland-only plan and nothing shorter than 3 days, so a weekend stay is poor value.

Speed slows only after roughly 5 GB a day, the fairest unlimited behavior we tested, and hotspot is included. Its page names no Finnish network (checked August 2026). On price it is the cheapest global unlimited plan by a wide margin. Our hands-on Maya Mobile review has the full test, and a trip that adds Iceland is covered in our Iceland eSIM guide.

Nomad eSIM in our hands

Nomad testing preview Nomad testing speed 1 Nomad testing speed 2 Nomad testing support

Nomad suits experienced users who will not need the help desk: it worked well for 4 of 4 travelers who reported from Finland (limited evidence). All four reports are from July and August 2026 and cover Nordic and Baltic trips: Poland, Germany, Finland and Estonia in one trip, Finland and Denmark, a Scandinavia plan across Denmark, Sweden and Finland, and one traveler who has used Nomad on several trips over three or four years. One wrote, "Connection was smooth in all (4) countries we visited" (August 2026).

No report describes a miss. The weakness is in our test: Nomad's help desk was one of the hardest to reach. Its chat bot looped on a basic setup question and offered no route to a person, so it is a poor fit for a Lapland trip where you might need help quickly. Check the activation window before you buy early, because our comparison tool lists 30 days and our test found 60.

According to its own Finland page, Nomad connects to Telia and Elisa, so it includes Elisa, the one network that is independent of the shared DNA and Telia masts in the north. It sells Finland plans of 1 to 50 GB with 3-, 7- and 30-day validity, plus unlimited plans of 3 to 10 days that slow after 2 GB a day. Plans are data only, and hotspot is allowed. On price it sits around the market average, a little dearer in Europe. Our hands-on Nomad review has the full test.

Holafly eSIM in our hands

Holafly testing outdoor Holafly testing support Holafly testing support 2 Holafly testing speed

Holafly is the unlimited option with the cleanest record, but in our test its speed was capped from the first megabyte. It worked well for 3 of 3 travelers who reported from Finland (limited evidence), in reports from May to August 2026. A capped speed is enough for maps, messaging, browsing and streaming, and slow for large downloads, uploads, cloud backups and laptop work. One July 2026 traveler used hotspot and tethering and called the 5G speeds excellent, so everyday phone use may not suffer.

No report describes a miss. The other two are a parent's trip in May 2026 and a tour through the UK, Norway, Sweden and Finland with a stable connection, also May 2026. Holafly sells unlimited plans only and has no top-ups, so you buy a new eSIM when a plan ends. Its hotspot is limited to 1 GB a day, as stated by Holafly [16]. An eSIM deleted from the phone cannot be reinstalled.

Holafly says its Finland eSIM connects to DNA, Elisa and Telia [16], all three national networks, which matters in Lapland where Elisa is the separate one. Its Finland page lists unlimited plans from 3 to 30 days [16]. Our comparison tool listed no Holafly plan for Finland at export, so there is no plan table here. On price it is slightly dearer than other unlimited plans. Our hands-on Holafly review covers the speed test.

Airalo eSIM in our hands

Airalo testing outdoor Airalo testing speed 1 Airalo testing speed 2 Airalo testing support

Airalo is the easiest eSIM to buy and install, but its Finland record is mixed: it worked well for 2 of 4 travelers who reported from Finland (limited evidence). The two successes, both in July 2026, were a 2-to-3 minute install at Helsinki airport and an easy purchase with very good signal.

The two misses came in July and August 2026. One traveler had no internet in Helsinki, after trips to Italy and Holland had worked. Another said the eSIM worked in the USA but not in Hungary or Finland. Neither review says why, so we cannot tell a setup slip from a coverage gap. Airalo's Finland eSIM runs on one network, DNA, according to its own page [15], so there is no fallback if that network is weak where you are.

Airalo sells Finland plans of 1 to 50 GB for 3 to 30 days, and unlimited plans of 3 to 30 days that slow after 3 GB a day.

Finland plans are data only, with no Finnish number [15]. In our test the purchase was easy and the app polished, and a person answered after a short queue. Across all countries it had the weakest reliability of the 14 providers in traveler reports. On price it sits around the market average. Our hands-on Airalo review has the full test.

eSIM4Travel eSIM in our hands

eSIM4Travel testing outdoor eSIM4Travel testing speed 1 eSIM4Travel testing speed 2 eSIM4Travel testing support

eSIM4Travel is usually the cheapest in our comparison, and our check of its Finland plans found it cheapest at the 2 to 10 GB sizes. There are no traveler reports from Finland yet, so its Finland record is unproven. In our test it had the best help desk: a short bot, one click to a person, and a fix on the first try. The eSIM arrived by email as a QR code and worked right away, in Switzerland, not Finland.

With no reports there are no misses to describe, and the downsides come from our test. There is no app, no Google Pay, and when your data runs out you cannot reach the store to top up without Wi-Fi. The eSIM installs on one device only.

eSIM4Travel sells Finland plans of 0.5 to 50 GB, day plans and 30-day plans, plus unlimited plans of 3 to 30 days that slow after a daily allowance. Validity starts at the first connection, and tethering is available. Its Finland page title lists DNA, Elisa, Telia and Ålcom; we have confirmed the title, not the page text. It is the only provider we found naming Ålcom, the operator on Åland. Our hands-on eSIM4Travel review has the full test.

Ubigi eSIM in our hands

Ubigi testing preview Ubigi testing speed 1 Ubigi testing speed 2 Ubigi testing support

Ubigi is not a top pick for Finland: it worked well for 2 of 5 travelers who reported (limited evidence), and all three misses were in Helsinki. A traveler arriving by ferry from Stockholm in June 2026 could not connect on one phone while a second phone worked, and had to buy a new eSIM. A second June 2026 reviewer on a European plan had no connection in Helsinki and was offered a refund, and a May 2026 reviewer reported the same. The two successes, in July and August 2026, were an easy setup in Finland and a trip through Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Russia.

Ubigi lists Finland plans of 3, 10 and 50 GB and unlimited plans of 7, 15 and 30 days; unlimited slows after a fixed fair-use amount. Its own product page names DNA and Telia as its Finnish networks, which share their masts in the north [5], so the pair gives no real fallback in Lapland. In our test, run in Czechia, it was fast and let us buy more data at zero balance, but it had the weakest app and site and the worst help desk response we saw: a ticket unanswered after 24 hours.

Price is just below the market average. It suits tech-savvy travelers who install at home. See our hands-on Ubigi review or visit Ubigi.

Yesim sells Finland plans of 0.5 to 30 GB, mostly for 30 days, and unlimited plans sold by the day for 1, 7, 15 or 30 days. Its fair-use limit is set by the network operator and no number is published. Its page names no network (checked August 2026). Jetpac worked for none of the 2 travelers who reported from Finland (too few to judge), and both reports are from 2024. In November 2024 a traveler whose first stop was Finland found poor to no coverage and speed on an iPhone XR, which is limited to 4G, then waited at least five days for the help desk to reply. In September 2024 a 30-day Europe plan stopped working on arrival in Finland and was fixed after two days. Slow help once something broke is the common thread.

Jetpac sells Finland plans of 3 to 40 GB and unlimited plans of 3 to 30 days that slow after 3 GB a day. According to a Cybernews report, it runs on Telia in Finland; Jetpac's own Finland page does not say so. Extras are in-app voice packs, and free WhatsApp and Maps use after data runs out on larger packs. In our test the app and purchase were rough.

Saily eSIM in our hands

Saily testing outdoor Saily testing speed 1 Saily testing speed 2 Saily testing support

Saily has one report from Finland, a miss, so there is too little to judge. The June 2026 reviewer toured Germany, the Nordics and the Baltics, wrote that the problems were mostly in the Baltic states, and named Helsinki only as a stop on the route. The complaints were data running out within a week and a payment dispute. We read it as a weak signal about Finland itself.

Saily sells Finland plans of 1 to 20 GB and one unlimited plan of 15 days that slows after 5 GB a day. Its page says only "Finland's best networks" and names none (checked August 2026). The phone-number add-on is a US number, not a Finnish one.

In our test it had the most polished app and install and one of the best help desks, but on price it is among the dearest where most people travel. It suits first-timers who value help. See our hands-on Saily review or visit Saily.

GigSky testing outdoor GigSky testing speed 1 GigSky testing speed 2 GigSky testing support

GigSky has one report from Finland, a miss, so there is too little to judge: a May 2026 reviewer said it did not work at all in Finland and was also unreliable in France. The review gives no detail on the cause.

GigSky sells Finland plans of 1 to 50 GB, with validity from 7 to 180 days, and a 1-day unlimited pass, plus cruise and ferry plans. When we checked its Finland page in August 2026, it gave two different daily limits for unlimited plans and showed Finland prices as unavailable, so we could not confirm current Finland plans. It says it connects to the fastest network available. In our test a person answered at once and the app stayed online at zero data, so you can buy a new plan without Wi-Fi.

On price it is among the dearest. It suits ferry and cruise travelers. See our hands-on GigSky review or visit GigSky.

There are no traveler reports from Finland yet, so GoMoWorld's Finland record is unknown. In our test, run in Austria, it was the fastest provider and showed no throttling, even after more than 10 GB in a day.

GoMoWorld sells Finland plans of 4, 15, 50 and 75 GB, plus Europe plans of 2.5 to 35 GB, with 5G listed. The eSIM is delivered only in the app, one account covers one device, and you must press Start or nothing happens, a common cause of "not working". Humans answer only in office hours. We could not verify its Finnish network.

On price it is just below the market average and best from 5 GB. It suits heavy data users. See our hands-on GoMoWorld review or visit GoMoWorld.

Roamless sells a free Finland trial eSIM, pay-as-you-go data with no fixed expiry, and 30-day plans up to 200 GB. Its page names no network (checked August 2026), and our comparison tool lists Alcom as the carrier. Calls go through in-app VoIP.

There are no traveler reports from Finland yet. ByteSIM has a large Finland catalog but the clumsiest checkout and app we tested, and its WhatsApp help desk did not reply within 15 minutes in our test. It suits experienced users and is not a top pick here.

ByteSIM sells Finland plans of 0.5 to 300 GB, daily plans, and unlimited plans of 1 to 30 days that slow under a fair-use limit. Its Finland page names DNA and Telia, which share masts in the north, so the pair gives no real fallback in Lapland [5]. There are no top-ups, and no passport or registration is needed. In our test the connection was 4G only, though 5G was promised.

A refund is possible for 180 days if the eSIM is unused or never connects. On price it sits around the market average and is cheap for 3 to 5 GB on short trips. See our hands-on ByteSIM review or visit ByteSIM.

Price per GB in Finland by eSIM Provider

How much does each provider charge per GB in Finland? The chart below compares plans of 1 to 10 GB that last 6 to 14 days, the usual range for a one- or two-week trip. Provider websites show only their own plans, so this side-by-side view is one you would otherwise have to calculate yourself. A shorter bar means a lower price per GB.

Best eSIM for Helsinki and Lapland

No provider has 3 or more reports from any single place in Finland, so the country pick, Maya Mobile, applies everywhere below. Maya has one Helsinki report and two Lapland reports, all positive.

Where you are goingWhat the reports showOur pick
HelsinkiMaya Mobile 1/1, Airalo 1/2, Ubigi 1/4, Saily 0/1Country pick applies, no provider has 3 or more reports here
Helsinki Airporttoo few reportsCountry pick applies
LaplandMaya Mobile 2/2, Global YO 1/1Country pick applies, no provider has 3 or more reports here

Best eSIM for Helsinki

With no provider at 3 or more reports, the country pick, Maya Mobile, applies in Helsinki, backed by one limited signal: its only Helsinki report, from January 2025, describes internet from the moment the traveler left the plane to the day of departure. Helsinki is where the misses in Finland cluster: five of the eight Helsinki reports were failures.

Ubigi had three of them, all in May and June 2026: a ferry arrival from Stockholm, a European plan with no connection, and a plain "not working". Airalo had one, a traveler with no internet in August 2026, and Saily had one on a tour where the problems were mostly in the Baltic states. Four of the five say the eSIM did not connect at all, not that data was slow, and none says why. At the airport, the one report was positive: an Airalo install at Helsinki airport in 2 to 3 minutes in July 2026. Helsinki-Vantaa has no operator store, so installing before you fly matters.

Best eSIM for Lapland

With no provider at 3 or more reports, the country pick, Maya Mobile, applies in Lapland. It has the most Lapland reports, 2 of 2, and Global YO has 1 of 1, and both come with a caveat. Maya's July 2024 reviewer, on a Lapland holiday with a hotspot, had coverage most of the time, not all of it. Global YO's August 2024 reviewer kept at least 4G in remote Lapland while companions on other brands lost their connection.

The network matters more here than the provider. DNA and Telia share the same masts across Northern and Eastern Finland [5], and Elisa is the only separate network. Holafly, Nomad and eSIM4Travel name Elisa, but none has a traveler report from Lapland yet. Airalo (DNA only), Ubigi and ByteSIM (DNA and Telia) cannot offer a second network there. Maya's and Global YO's pages do not give their Finnish networks, so their Lapland results cannot be tied to one.

There are no traveler reports from Åland or Eastern Finland yet. eSIM4Travel is the only provider whose page title names Ålcom, the operator on Åland, and Traficom ran field measurements around Lappeenranta and Imatra after customer complaints following the 3G shutdown [3].

Local SIM Cards and Operator eSIMs in Finland

A local prepaid SIM is cheaper than a travel eSIM for any stay longer than about four days, and it adds a Finnish number with unlimited domestic calls and texts. A travel eSIM saves the queue on arrival. For a trip under about four days the saving is a few euros, which is rarely worth the effort.

The offers, as of August 2026: DNA Rajaton Prepaid costs €0.99 a day for 4G or €1.29 a day for 5G with unlimited calls, texts and data, includes a €5 starting balance, lasts 180 days from activation, and is limited to two purchases per customer [11]. Telia's prepaid starter pack costs €4.90 with a €7 balance, and its prepaid eSIM starts at €9.90 [13]. All three operators sell prepaid eSIM directly [12] [13] [14]. Displayed prices include 25.5% VAT [11].

Most sources say no ID is needed to buy or use prepaid, and Elisa's own page says its prepaid cannot be registered in your name [14]. Two travel guides say a passport is required, and we could not settle the question with a Traficom source (as of September 2026), so carrying your passport when you buy is the safe course.

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has no operator store. Travel guides report that an R-kioski convenience store in arrivals sells prepaid SIMs, which we could not re-verify. DNA, Telia and Elisa have stores in city malls, and R-kioski, K-group and S-group stores and ABC service stations also sell SIMs. On Åland, a 2025 travel guide says the local operator Ålcom sells prepaid at its Mariehamn store and not at the airport, which we could not re-verify either.

Finnish low-cost brands like Moi Mobiili are reported to require a Finnish bank account, which rules them out for tourists. If you live in the EU or EEA, check your home plan's roaming terms before buying anything.

Mobile Networks in Finland

Finland has three national networks, DNA, Elisa and Telia, and all three cover towns and main roads well. The choice matters mainly in the north and east, where DNA and Telia share one radio network run by their joint company and Elisa is the only separate one [5]. Each operator publishes a coverage map [6] [8] [9], and Traficom reminds consumers that operators are not obliged to serve every area [2].

Elisa says 5G is open in every municipality and reaches more than 95% of the population [7]. Telia says its 5G covers over 4.3 million people [9]. DNA's own pages give different coverage figures, so we do not quote one.

On speed the sources disagree: Opensignal's May 2026 report put DNA first on download, MedUX's March 2026 report put Elisa first, and the three networks are within about 9% of each other in both. On the measure closest to where travelers go, Opensignal's Coverage Experience score, Elisa came first in its January to March 2026 data. Taken together, Elisa has the strongest case for a trip that leaves the cities.

Providers that name their Finnish networks: Holafly (DNA, Elisa and Telia) [16], Nomad (Telia and Elisa), eSIM4Travel (DNA, Elisa, Telia and Ålcom, from its page title), Airalo (DNA only) [15], and Ubigi and ByteSIM (DNA and Telia). According to Cybernews, Jetpac uses Telia. Saily, Yesim, Roamless and Maya Mobile did not name a network on their pages when we checked in August 2026, GigSky says it connects to the fastest network available, and we could not verify Global YO or GoMoWorld. A DNA and Telia pair looks like two networks but is one north of roughly Oulu, so only Holafly, Nomad and eSIM4Travel are confirmed to include the independent one.

In deep wilderness there is no signal from any operator, which fits Traficom's land-area figures above [1]. After the 3G shutdown Traficom received about 130 customer contacts from Eastern Finland and measured the network on 21 to 23 November 2023 around Lappeenranta and Imatra [3]. 3G is off nationwide, and Telia began switching it off on 11 September 2023 [10]. 2G must stay on until the end of 2029 [4], and a phone without VoLTE (calls over 4G) falls back to it for calls, so very old handsets struggle. Our guide to multi-network eSIMs explains manual network switching.

How to Set Up an eSIM for Finland

  1. Check that your phone can use an eSIM, is unlocked and works on 4G or 5G, because Finland has no 3G. Our first eSIM guide covers compatibility.
  2. Buy the plan at home and install it on Wi-Fi before you fly. Most plans we tested start counting at the first connection, but Yesim's started at purchase and GoMoWorld needs a manual Start, so check the plan page.
  3. Install it with the QR code or the app. We have guides for adding an eSIM on iPhone and on Samsung.
  4. On arrival, switch on data roaming for the eSIM line and select it for mobile data. Maya Mobile also needs its APN, "globaldata", entered by hand.
  5. If there is no signal in Helsinki or at a ferry port, restart the phone and pick the network by hand, then try our troubleshooting guide.
  6. Keep Wi-Fi in reach for top-ups. Most apps stop working at zero data, but GigSky's and Ubigi's let you buy more without Wi-Fi.

Calls and SMS in Finland

Almost every travel eSIM for Finland is data only, so calls and texts go through WhatsApp, FaceTime or another app. In our comparison tool no provider's Finland plan includes minutes or SMS, and Airalo's Finland plans carry no Finnish number [15]. Finland's calling code is +358. If you need a Finnish number, a local prepaid SIM includes unlimited domestic calls and texts [11].

A few providers add calling options. Jetpac sells in-app voice packs for outgoing calls, Roamless offers in-app VoIP calls and an optional second number, and Global YO has outgoing VoIP calls. Saily's phone-number add-on is a US number, not a Finnish one.

Free eSIM Data for Finland

Free Finland data exists, but only in small amounts. Roamless lists a free Finland eSIM with a small data allowance that starts a 30-day trial when you activate it. Holafly's Always On backup gives a small free monthly allowance after a paid plan ends, if you keep the eSIM installed. A free plan covers maps and messages for a day or two at best. Our guide to free eSIM data plans and trials lists current offers.

Frequently Asked Questions About eSIMs in Finland

Which is the best eSIM for Finland?
Maya Mobile had the best record in traveler reports from Finland: it worked well for 5 of 5 travelers, mostly on multi-country Nordic trips. Nomad (4 of 4) and Holafly (3 of 3) also had no misses, but Holafly's speed was capped in our test. These are small counts, so compare current plans with (eSIM Comparison).
How much data do I need for a week in Finland?
It depends on what you do, so a calculator gives a better answer than a rule of thumb. Maps, messaging and browsing use little data, while video calls and streaming use much more, and most unlimited plans in Finland slow after a daily allowance. Estimate your own use with (Travel Data Calculator).
What is the cheapest eSIM for Finland?
eSIM4Travel is usually the cheapest in our comparison, and in our check of Finland plans it was cheapest at the 2 to 10 GB sizes, with Global YO next. eSIM4Travel has no app and no traveler reports from Finland yet. Current prices for every provider are in (eSIM Comparison).
Which eSIM works in Lapland?
Maya Mobile worked in 2 of 2 Lapland reports and Global YO in 1 of 1, though one traveler had coverage only most of the time. In the north DNA and Telia share the same masts, so eSIMs that include Elisa (Holafly, Nomad and eSIM4Travel) offer the only confirmed second network, but none has a Lapland report yet.
Can I buy a SIM card for Finland as a tourist?
Yes, DNA, Telia and Elisa all sell prepaid SIMs and eSIMs, and no Finnish bank account is needed. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has no operator store, so travel guides point to a convenience store in arrivals. Sources disagree on ID rules, so a passport is worth carrying. The local SIM section above lists operator offers.
Does 3G still work in Finland?
No, 3G is switched off nationwide, so your phone needs 4G or 5G. 2G stays as a fallback until the end of 2029, and a phone without VoLTE falls back to it for calls, which makes very old handsets unreliable. Phones that can make calls over 4G avoid the problem.
What is the best eSIM for Helsinki?
No provider has 3 or more reports from Helsinki, so the country pick, Maya Mobile, applies. Five of the eight Helsinki reports were misses, four of them a connection that did not work at all, so installing before you fly and keeping Wi-Fi nearby is the safer approach if something fails (eSIM Not Working? Complete Troubleshooting Guide | Vefru).

Summary: the best eSIM for Finland

Based on 30 traveler reports and our tests, the best option for most trips is Maya Mobile: it worked well for 5 of 5 travelers, mainly on multi-country Nordic trips, but it sells only a global unlimited plan and nothing shorter than 3 days. Nomad (4 of 4) is the pick for experienced users who will not need its hard-to-reach help desk. Holafly (3 of 3) has a clean record and connects to all three national networks, but its speed was capped in our test. Airalo (2 of 4) is the easiest to purchase and install, with both misses in Helsinki and a single network. eSIM4Travel has no reports from Finland yet and no app, but it is the cheapest in our comparison and had the best help desk we tested.

These counts are small, so each is limited evidence. In the north the network matters as much as the provider: only Holafly, Nomad and eSIM4Travel are confirmed to include Elisa, the one network that is independent of the shared DNA and Telia masts. The best eSIM for Finland is the one that fits where you are going, whether that is a short Helsinki stay, a local SIM for a longer one, or a multi-country Nordic trip.
