You came here for something we no longer have, and that is on us. The timers, the stopwatch, the QR reader and generator, the time zone pages, the converters, the IP detector, the BMI calculator, the meditation pages. We took all of them down, because Vefru now works on eSIM and nothing else.
The least we can do is point you somewhere good. There is a free replacement for every tool below, so you should not need more than a minute here.

Where to find the Vefru tools you came for
One replacement each, all free and all browser based, the same way ours were. We earn nothing from any of them.
| What you came for | Where to find it now |
|---|---|
| Timer, stopwatch, countdown | Online-Stopwatch. Your phone's Clock app does the same job offline. |
| QR code reader (scanner) | ScanQR, for a screenshot or a webcam. On a phone, pointing the Camera app at the code is quicker. |
| QR code generator | QRCode Monkey. Free static codes, no watermark. |
| Time zones, world clock | timeanddate.com World Clock. Handles daylight saving changes properly. |
| Audio and file conversion | CloudConvert. Wide format support and honest free limits. |
| Image compression | Squoosh. Made by Google, and it never uploads your image. |
| Image editing | Photopea. A free browser editor that opens PSD files. |
| IP address check | ipinfo.io. Your IP plus network and location details. |
| BMI calculator | NHS BMI calculator. A public health body, no ads, nothing to sell you. |
| Meditation | Medito. A registered non profit, free forever, with no premium tier. |
| Video downloading | This is the one case where we would rather not send you anywhere. The safest route is the save offline button inside the app itself, and the short reason is below. |
If your tool is not in the table and it had nothing to do with eSIM, it has been removed as well. Sorry for the detour.
A few things worth knowing before you go
QR codes: be careful with free "dynamic" codes
Some generators offer a free dynamic code. Those route through the provider's own domain and can stop working, or start pointing somewhere else, once a trial ends. For anything you print, use a static code.
File converters: your file leaves your computer
Anything you upload to an online converter is sent to someone else's server. If the file is private, desktop software is the safer choice. Audacity is free and handles audio well.
BMI: it is a rough number, not a diagnosis
BMI does not account for muscle mass, and it reads differently across ages and ethnic backgrounds. That is why we point you at the NHS rather than another ad-funded calculator. Please speak to a doctor before acting on the result.
Video downloading: why we are not sending you anywhere
Downloading video from most platforms breaks their terms of use, and copyright rules differ from country to country. We would rather be upfront than hand you a link that gets you into trouble. YouTube, Spotify, Netflix and Instagram all let you save content offline inside their own apps.
Two things we did keep
Two of the old tools overlapped with eSIM (a digital SIM card built into your phone), so those are still here.
Turning an eSIM activation code into a QR code
Some providers give you a long text string instead of a scannable code. A generic QR generator can produce a code your phone rejects. Our guide shows the right way: how to convert an eSIM activation code into a QR code.
Working out how much data to buy
Our travel data calculator is an eSIM tool, so it stayed. The reasoning behind the numbers is in how much mobile data you actually need.
Why Vefru is now an eSIM only website
We were running two things badly instead of one well.
Our team is a telecommunications professional who worked at one of the largest Czech telecom operators, plus a software developer. That background is worth something in eSIM testing. It is worth nothing in a stopwatch.
So Vefru.com now covers one topic:
- Every page is about eSIM, mobile data, travel connectivity or the devices that support them.
- No tool, converter, calculator or wellness content remains on the domain.
- Removed URLs redirect here. That content will not return.
What is left is three things: a comparison tool covering more than 23,000 plans, provider reviews where we buy every plan with our own money and publish the screenshots, and country guides plus explainers like which phones support eSIM and what to do when an eSIM is not working.
Result (summary)
All of the non-eSIM tools are permanently offline, and nothing was moved elsewhere on our site. The table above has a free replacement for each one.
Thank you for your patience if the old Vefru tools were part of your routine. We hope the list saved you a search. And if a trip is coming up, our eSIM comparison tool will show you every plan for your destination in about a minute.
